According to legend, civilisations across Southern Africa are attributed to a single founder who migrated from earliest civilisation of Kush on the confluence of the Blue and While Nile Rivers, known as Dzivaguru (loosely translated to The Big River in the Bantu languages) whose crown was made from conus shells and royal feathers of the fish eagle bird, and when he reached the banks of the mighty Zambezi River, he pointed his rod southwards and proclaimed:
“There is your land, there you shall live and prosper!”
We are inspired by the river bird, the apex predator, the majestic Fish Eagle. For centuries, eagles have been a symbol of beauty, bravery, courage, honour, pride, determination, and grace. From the civilisations of Mapungubwe and Great Zimbabwe to Aztec civilizations of Mexico, it is an emblem for powerful and mighty nations, this bird is surely important and symbolic to humanity.
